Marriage License Requirements

The following are the basic requirements for obtaining a marriage licence in the islands that we service. The waiting period varies depending on the island.

  • Birth certificate.

  • Both parties must have a valid passport or ID.

  • If either party is divorced, a decree absolute must be presented.

  • If either party is widowed, a copy of the death certificate of the deceased spouse must be presented.

  • If either party is under the age of majority then written parental consent must be given.

  • If a change of name has taken place in the case of any of the parties, then the Deed Poll under which this was done must be produced.

If documents are not in English they must be accompanied by a notarised translation.

The following islands have NO RESIDENCY waiting periods to obtain a marriage licence: St. Lucia, Antigua, St Kitts, Nevis and Barbados.
